The ability to perceive or think differently
is more important than the
knowledge gained

David Bohm

Steps through the Process

1. A situation within a relationship is chosen that is pertinent to the purpose of the workshop and/or the coaching session

2. The details are gathered through the use of a story sheet (see story sheet)

3. The story is shared with coach or partner - reflection is deepened

4. Roles are cast

5. A slice of action is chosen to highlight the situation

6. Situation is played through and reflections and observations are made by participants, observers and practitioner

7. Roles can be reversed and reflection process repeated

8. Alternatives in communication style and behaviour can be suggested, simulated and reviewed

9. Review and reflection of first and second perspective together with group observations and discussion

10. Invitation to move to the third chair - experience of the enhanced perspective

11. Opportunity to test a situation with the new perspective

12. Reflection observation and discussion including a plan for future action

The unity of the perceptual field ... must be a unity of bodily experience.
Your perception takes place where you are and is entirely dependent on how
your body is functioning.
